Solo – MPP meeting. The video !

After a presentation at the Budget Committee, earlier this year, Solo Landlords Inc. on Friday October 28th, for the first time in Ontario’s history, gathered elected representatives to listen to “small mom and pop landlords” and hear their struggle to offer affordable housing to Ontarians. Several hundred landlords, property owners, professionals and elected representatives attended the virtual meeting.

It started with a an introduction from Board member Varun Sriskanda who moderated the meeting, followed by Vice chair Rose Marie laying the issues and potential solutions then a powerful impact statement from actual landlords describing how the delays is affecting their mental and financial wellbeing. It ended with a closing statement from Solo Landlords chair Boubacar Bah (Boubah) and a round table.

Attending Members of Provincial Parliament also weighed in and laid out their position on the rental housing issue in Ontario
