I had rented my house in Brampton, in July 2019. House rented by a family. March 2020, Female partner and her two kids left the house due to their family issue. Male partner and his two kids are still living in the house.
However they agreed to pay till the original lease ends June 2020. I received partial rent for the month of May 2020. Then there is no rent payment. I gave some time to find a resolution but I found out that the tenant had another person living in the house and collecting rent.
I reached out to paralegal and filed an L1 application in July 2020. I had a hearing on Dec 08, 2020. The Adjudicator didn’t issue an order at the hearing and said since the Female partner left the house in March 2020, Adjudicator needed to discuss this with other board members and will issue order after the discussion.
It has been 6 months since I have not received the order. As of June 1st rent arrears is $41,350. Meanwhile the tenant is renting out rooms and making money.
I am paying the water bill for them.
