Small Ownership Landlords Ontario Inc. (SOLO) is reminding the provincial government that there is a financial and human cost to their decision to delay access to justice for small ownership landlords in Ontario.
Every month that landlords (and tenants) do not get a hearing in a timely manner the dishonest tenants (and landlords) who use the system not as intended but to avoid responsibility are creating an unbearable financial burden to landlords with no help from the government.
SOLO has to date counted millions dollars of unpaid rent, damages that the housing providers “mom and pop” landlords are enduring with a complete neglect from the government.
The Landlords Invoice and Letter templates can be found below along with instructions for this process. We encourage all Landlords facing any financial losses as a result of non-rent paying Tenants refusing to vacate the property to participate and help achieve our goal.
While we know the Government will not pay each individual invoice we hope they will allocate some funding and empower/authorize the LTB to reimburse Landlords who are waiting for justice to be served or have no recourse left.
