I am a house service provider business — not a Landlord.
I do not have any special favours granted from the King or the Crown. I do not come from a family that acquired the land by fighting for the King and wasn’t rewarded anything. I don’t even have a small gang so forget about the army.
I have worked hard, sacrificed holidays, and abstained from spending on things not necessary. Many times I may have even abstained from necessary things.
The government treats us as some kind of rich spoiled brats who need a spanking so we can do our work well. The tenants think of me as some greedy thug who is after his/her money and does a favour by renting my place. He/she feels they pay my mortgage and not me.
Why is it my responsibility to house tenants, be liable to everything, give them the best life and still not get paid at market rate? When I have a problem, the LTB needs me to dig graves. Any business can ask a customer to leave but not me. Any business can report theft, not me.
Not a rant but we must correct our name first. We have to stop calling ourselves landlords.
